Credit 'Skip' Trimble

Re: "Horse Lovers," your Tuesday news section legislative scorecard on rejection of the bid to legalize slaughter of horses for human consumption.

A great deal of credit for the defeat of this deplorable testimony to man's cruelty belongs to a local attorney. Robert L. "Skip" Trimble was instrumental in organizing statewide opposition to this sad commentary. Mr. Trimble's integrity and compassion are an inspiration.
