Tree lighting to honor America’s horse

SANTA FE —
Santa Fe has been chosen to be the site for the America’s Horse Christmas
Tree. This tree will feature ornaments, ribbons and good wishes from horse
lovers all over the United States and abroad.
The lighting ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 6 next to Tibaldo’s Feed
Store, 12011 state Highway 6, Alta Loma.
Members of the National Horse Protection Coalition have been collecting
ornaments and memories of the connection between horses and people. The tree
that has come to symbolize the wishes of the world for keeping horses safe and
protected from harm.
The occasion will honor horses, which have carried people in battle, worked
beside them on farms and pulled their wagons.
The tree lighting ceremony will include apple cider, donuts, Christmas music,
carolers, Christmas candy and horses and donkeys. For information, contact The
