Subject: [againstslaughter] information regarding disposal from U of I, available via phone to anyone

The University of Illinois Vet school will assist a horse owner with a dying/deceased horse as follows:

1) Bring your horse in, they will euthanize for $80 (if never seen before add $11 med records fee), includes disposal. They MAY do a necropsy for teaching purposes, at their discretion, no charge.
2) Horse is deceased, deliver deceased horse to University. They will perform a necropsy (autopsy) and dispose of a deceased horse brought to its facilities for $90 if it does not have neurological problems; $100 if it does, INCLUDING disposal.
3) Horse has unusual illness and owner cannot afford euthanasia/further care. University MAY accept the horse as a donation, and at their discretion treat, perform surgery, or euthanize. Owner relinquishes all rights, and pays NOTHING.

Sincerely,
