THE FUND 4 HORSES

March 9, 2004

Dear Friends:

Our horses continue to be under threat from slaughter, whether it is the PMUs standing around in miserable conditions in meatpens in Canada, or the EU who are working to lift the 70-year ban in Great Britain of exporting horses for slaughter to Europe (see http://www.fund4horses.org/info.php?id=81).

VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for assistance in the following areas:

1.  We have four 10'x 20' (yes, that is feet) posters (or billboards) available that we cannot find billboard companies who will put them up for us re Wyeth & the PMU horses.

The contents of these posters have been reviewed by top lawyers in Canada and America, and fall under the jurisdiction of "fair comment." If you have private property with a billboard on it, or know of someone who does, please have them contact us immediately.  We will 'overnight' them to you and help you with the cost of having them 'pasted up.'

2. We are putting together a list of rescues, shelters and sanctuaries in the United States as a resource to those in need. We are looking for volunteers who will compile a list of these organizations for us for each state. You need not be a resident of those states, just volunteer to do the research for that area. Please email vivian@fund4horses.org if you would like to help out.
