Hello Everyone! Here are just a few of the happenings this week at the The Fund for Horses.
KIDS 4 HORSES
A Petition to Congress for Horse Lovers Under the Age of 18
Are you under the age of 18? Do you know of someone under the age of 18 who wants to help horses?
We have received a request from young adults under the age of 18 who want to do something to support The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (HR 857). They wanted their own Petition, which they have now written, and which is now the focal point of their own campaign called Kids 4 Horses. Please visit us at http://www.fund4horses.org/info.php?id=87 to participate. And of course~cross post this message.
THERAPY 4 HORSES
Equine CranioSacral Therapy (ECST)
Unlike Equine Sports Massage Therapy, which methodically and directly addresses muscular tension, spasms and scar tissue, Equine CranioSacral Therapy is a very subtle technique that relies upon a light touch and focuses upon the central nervous system. This type is particularly helpful to horses with emotional and behavioral problems.
We are excited to announce that we have a practioner who is willing to donate her time and services to rescues and shelters in the Pennsylvania area who have horses that may benefit from her expertise. Please visit us at http://www.fund4horses.org/info.php?id=85 for more details.
LINKS 4 RESCUES & SHELTERS
A Resource for Horses in Need
In
order to be listed on our site, a rescue or shelter must either be a
nationally recognized charitable organization with a proven track record of
excellence, or come to our attention by way of reference from people like you.
We therefore invite those of you who have acquired or adopted your horses,
donkeys, mules or burros via a rescue or shelter to write us at info@fund4horses.org
and tell us about your experience, and give us your personal recommendation.
