A constituent of Rep. Bob Goodlatte's (R-6-VA) who is working to get HR 857, The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act, enacted into law was perplexed by her Congressman's determination to defeat this bill. Rep. Goodlatte is Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, one of the three committees HR857 is currently being considered in, and it appears his intention is to "kill" the bill in his committee. Interestingly, Tim Case of the AQHA, was quoted last year as saying that this bill would not get out of committee.

Goodlatte and tell him you are opposed to horse slaughter, and that the AQHA does NOT represent your feelings on this issue.
