Subject: [againstslaughter] IMPORTANT! Special Project for HR 857!
Hi,

As you may be aware, Congress has returned from its winter recess.  Although we are currently very busy with SB 1921, we should not forget HR 857. It is time to re-start submitting correspondence (letters, faxes and emails) and phone calls.  As I commented a few days ago, I
had a plan to gain support for HR 857. Here are the details:

My plan consists of a coordinated massive faxing campaign USING THE TPC INTERNET TO FAX NETWORK. In this faxing campaign we will "hit" everyday a pre-determined number of US Reps. and Senators, so the effectiveness of our combined effort would be greater.

The following paragraph is very important, so please pay special attention: you DO NOT HAVE TO USE YOUR FAX MACHINE, only your email browser. TPC Internet to Fax Network is a FREE service provided by a series of servers (called "cells") which process email messages sent
to a special email address into an analogic language understandable by the fax machines. Once the message is processed, the server (cell) calls the fax number you are attempting to contact and sends your message as a "normal" fax. You do not even need to make a coversheet;
it is automatically added by the servers, you only have to put your contact info at the end of the message and the name and address of the Congressmen you are contacting on the heading.  Every morning, about 6 am more or less, I will post the list of Congressmen you should contact and their special email addresses to do it so.

What you need to do is as follows:

1) Write a letter to the Congressmen asking them to SUPPORT and COSPONSOR HR 857. Please, keep it short (maximum about 1,5-2 Word Document pages using "Times New Roman" font and size 8; if you use a larger font type and size, keep the message shorter). Don´t forget to
add at the bottom line your full name, mailing and e-mail addresses, your phone number as well as the name and address of the Congressmen you are contacting. You DO NOT need to do a coversheet, TPC Network provides a predetermined one to the person you are attempting to reach.

2) Paste it on your email browser, like if you were sending a common email message.

3) Send it to the correspondent special email address of the list I will post every morning.

If your fax has been successfully sent and printed on the correspondent fax number, the server which processed your message will send you an email notification. If it fails, it also sends you a notification. You can resend it later.

Also, please ask your family, friends and work/class partners to collaborate on this. You can crosspost this message and the list I will post everyday, so they can also take part! It is so easy and it only takes less than two minutes to fax them! Remember, the more people faxing them the more chances we have to gain support for HR 857!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!: Please, send only one message per Congressmen. That´s because since TPC is a free service, provided by people who donated their servers, the number of messages you can send per day, as well as the number of pages sent are limited. If you exceed that limits you would be banned and the server will NOT process and send your fax. Depending on the cell, the maximum number of faxes allowed per day is about 6. Please, be careful with this.

Also, TPC network has limitations. Since it is made from donated servers, their coverage is limited. Only a few states have coverage, most of them partial. The two only places where there is full coverage are Washington, DC and Texas (the entire state). Unfortunately Illinois has no coverage so we cannot use TPC network for SB 1921.

We will start today with the following Congressmen:
