Subject: [againstslaughter] Re: Roanoke AL PMU Auction
Update
There was plenty of publicity on 2 Atlanta TV channels and the Atlanta
newspaper! It really made the difference.
It was a full house at the auction, standing room only. They had to put a TV
outside so people outside could bid. There were plenty of great people to buy
the horses, many families, good homes. No killers even stayed. I stayed until
the auction was over to see the consignment horses in case one or two needed me
but they even went high. There were over 200 horses sold. Biggest thing
ever to happen to Roanoke, AL.
The people buying were happy. People who came to get a cheap horse were angry.
Guess they saw it as an opportunity to make a profit...oh well, it didn't
happen. There were two cattle rancher type buyers from TX who said they were
going to buy 30 and 40 PMU mares, that's
why they came. I brought the TV crew out there and they announced their
intentions on TV. They said they were going to buy and breed them. (like I
believed that!) They bought none!
