Subject: Your info put to use!

Dear Mary,

I just wanted to let you know that I spoke before our Town Council tonight during Citizen's participation and discussed horse slaughter, Dallas Crown, Beltex and HR 857.  I ended with instruction on how to find and contact your U.S. representative.

My town, Flower Mound,  has a large equestrian community.  This meeting was broadcast live on cable, and will be replayed twice.

Also, reporters from the Ft. Worth Star Telegram and the Lewisville Leader were in attendance, and I gave them some information I copied off your emails, and suggested it would make a great story.

I also plan to send in letters to the Editor.

If you have any other ideas for me to educate the public, please feel free to discuss them.

When I was leaving, a lady chased me down outside and said she used to work for the City of Ft. Worth for whatever dept. it is that investigates health violations.  She said Beltex was in constant violation of ordinances...and that blood literally runs into the ditch, turning the water red, and the mosquitoes were horrible.  She also said they illegally disposed of the hides.  I told her I wasn't surprised to hear any of it.
