Yes, he is the "on-site" Vet that draws blood for Coggins tests.  Although I knew this, when he refused to look at the downed horse, I point blank asked him, "Are you a Veterinarian?"  He replied yes, he was, but there was nothing he could do without the owner's permission, and the owner would have to request medical attention.  His name is Thomas R. Reese, DVM, Box 704, Tipton, OK  (580) 667-5562.


"You must contact your humane enforcement authorities, and let them know of the incident regarding this horse!!  If this is the way these auctions continue to operate, they must learn that they will PAY A PRICE, for continuing to turn their blind eye."

Unfortunately, because the auction is outside the city limits of Stephenville, located in the County, it does not fall under any Humane Authority enforcement's jurisdiction.  The only recourse is the Sheriff's dept.

There is never any food or water in the pens at the Stephenville auction, unless the owner puts it there, which is VERY rare.
