Subject: [againstslaughter] I have been misquoted about the Stephenville auction

I am sorry to say that I have been misquoted on the Stephenville
auction. Sometimes i do not word things right so I am sure I confused
y'all. Not evey horse went to slaughter at that auction. A lot were
no-saled, some were good riding horses bought for high dollars by
ranchers. What I meant to convey was that every horse the killers
won, was being bid on by others, the killers would not back off as
they did in Montana. In Kalispell the minute someone came forward to
bid on a horse to give it a home, the killers would quit bidding.
Very commendable. At Stephenville they did not do this, they just
kept at it until the people who did not have the money to spend gave
up. I am sure once the horse went over their profit level they backed
down, but their profit level was high with one large loose horse
bringing 1200.00. Remember i was not there for the whole sale. But
good news. I will be there for the whole thing tomorrow night with
people at my side to help me keep a full detailed report of the whole
danged mess. Plus we will bail out a little refugee or two. Keep us
in your prayers.
