URGENT UPDATE ON HORSE SLAUGHTER!!! HB 3845 BECOMES AMENDMENT TO SB
1921!!!

Illinois House Bill 3845 (HB 3845), the bill to ban horse slaughter in Illinois and to prevent Belgian owned Cavel horse slaughterhouse from operating, has becomed an AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1921 (SB 1921). This new bill has been referred to the the IL House of Representatives Executive Committee, and will have a hearing next days November 17 and 18.

THE SITUATION IS CRITICAL!!! SUPPORT IS DESESPERATELY NEEDED FOR THIS NEW BILL. PLEASE, FAX, MAIL, CALL AND EMAIL AS MANY ILLINOIS
REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS YU CAN TODAY AND DURING THE NEXT WEEKS ASKING THEM TO SUPPORT AND VOTE FOR SB 1921 AND ITS FIRST HOUSE AMENDMENT!!!! ASK FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS AND WORK/CLASS PARTNERS TO DO THE SAME!!!

Special pressure must be put on the members of the IL House´s
Executive Committee, where the bill has been referred to. Also, keep pressure on the Agriculture Committee. Do not forget to mention in your letters that horses in the US are not food animals nor are breeded for slaughter; that horses are part of the American Heritage and that eating them is culturally and ethically unacceptable.

MAILING AND CALLING TO BOTH THEIR DISTRICT AND SPRINGFIELD OFFICES.
Most legislators will be in their district offices this coming week. So correspondence should be directed to these offices from today through Nov.14. Nov. 14 -18 All correspondence should be directed to the Springfield offices. Please, do not waste time and start faxing, mailing and calling today!!! We need your help to stop horse slaughter and to prevent Cavel horse slaughterhouse from operating.

Illinois residents urgently need to contact their local and
district Farm Bureau offices as well. Tell them you would like them to support SB 1921 or at the very least be "nuetral" about its position .
