At Friends of Horses we are very happy Channel 31 did such an extensive
story. Quite a stir has followed including a news story in the Denver post
(accessible at our website http://getahorse.org).
The story was picked up by
the Associate Press and ran the following day in the Rocky Mountain News. A
state legislator has agreed to introduce legislation to prevent CSU from
doing this in the future.
Besides my work with Friends of Horses, I am the State Coordinator for the
American Horse Defense Fund which has been instrumental in the fight in DC
to pass the legislation being considered in Congress to ban horse slaughter

Let's keep up the momentum. They say you can judge your success by the
enemies you make. Well, within 5 minutes of the end of the broadcast, our
executive director received a phone death threat from a killer buyer. We
must be doing something right!
