Subject: [againstslaughter] Roanoke AL PMU Auction
Update
Hello Everyone,
For those of you who was not able to make it to the sale today. I wanted to give
you an update. First off there were no killer buyers at the sale at all. No
draft mares went for less than $750 with the average about $1500 and the highest
priced being $3400.
The horses were gorgeous and the handlers treated them with the greatest care,
the turn out was very high I would guestimate about about 300 to 350 people when
normally I was told they only get about 40 total at the normal monthly sales.
I cant tell you about the quarter horses because we left after the drafts went
through.
But the quarter horse mares were beautiful as well. Oh I forgot to mention there
were others there as well that locals bought, only a couple were thin. I ended
up not buying since all I really wanted to do was save those who needed saving
but these mares got good homes today. No saving needed at this sale.
Im glad I got to meet a lot of you by going and making my "horsey" TV
debut friday night on Atlanta's Fox channel 5 ( I was not expecting that one at
all :) My husband was all grins.......:)
It also made local wsb channel 2,CNN and ABC national news!
By the way Mr Green the owner of the auction house plans to bring another load
soon down from canada..So there is a 2nd chance !
