As many of you know, the behavior of Donna Ewing, President of the Hooved Animal
Rescue and Protection Society (HARPS) in Illinois raises serious questions about
her true mission. Beside her vocal support for horse slaughter, Ewing eats
meat and serves meat at her fundraisers and has at least in the past had
rodeo people on her staff. An Illinois lobbyist has stated that he has
also seen Ms. Ewing wearing fur coats, although we intend to get verification of
this from Ms. Ewing.

time claims in a recent fundraising letter to save horses from slaughter.
SHARK is now looking for documentation anyone might have on Ms. Ewing that further
exposes her questionable behavior to those she supposedly protects. Most
specifically, we are looking for a letter she wrote to a horse
slaughterhouse in which she gives advice on how to create better
public relations such as keeping downed horses out of public view.
