Many Illinois horseman, are planning a peaceful demonstration to be held at the
Illinois Horse Fair (conducted by the Horsemen's Council of Illinois) to protest
the HCI's pro-horse slaughter position and their blatant disregard for including
the HCI membership and the professional Illinois horse industry horseman in its
decision making process.
The Demonstration will take place on Saturday March 6, 2004 at the Springfield
Fairgrounds, Springfield IL. (9:00am) We of course are counting on you to be
there. This will be a media
extravaganza so a good turnout is a must!!
We need to reach out to as many people as possible and ask them to attend
this demonstration. We must show Cavel the HCI, IDOA and all other horse
killers, that the people of Illinois will NOT BE DENIED protection for our
horses!!!! Please cross-post this alert to all interested parties!!!
We will need picket signs, flyers, buttons (to give to spectators) and we are
considering t-shirts for the demonstrators to wear.
I am asking all of you to please, get those creative juices flowing and help us
come up with ideas for all of the above items!!
We will need something "catchy" for the pickets and t-shirts. We
also, could use some suggestions as to how or who would be able to provide the
best deals to mass produce the buttons, t's and flyers???
