Hi all
We received word late last night that the hearing will take place
today!!! However, we are still uncertain as to the time. We were
told we would have a time by 11:00 am. We are heading to Springfield
at appx. 9:00 am . It is a 3-4 hour drive depending on traffic.
Chris Heyde arrives at 9:50am into Springfield airport. Our
contingent consists of: Chris Heyde from the Society of Protective
Animal Legislation, and the NHPC, also "our" fearless leader.
Janice Ely- career Thoroughbred Trainer based in Illinois, ITHA board
member. Pam Kuhl owner horse transportation van company. Dr.
Don
Johnson Veterinarian, Arlington Park and Hawthorne Racecourse. Dr.
Lydia Gray Executive Director Hooved Animal Humane Society (Dr. Gray
may be unable to testify, as her org. has not had an opportunity to
vote on the change in their stance, from pro-slaughter, to the post
Donna Ewing stance of against slaughter. And myself, career
Thoroughbred trainer, boarding and training stable owner located 2
miles from Cavel.
We will also take with us each and every one of you and your thoughts
and prayers.
We could never have made this day possible without the
tremendous "team" effort that was put forth by each of you this last
2 weeks.
