Subject: [againstslaughter] Illinois update, and more Reps!!
Hi all,  Wow what a busy and productive day we had today.

Got new orders from Molaro camp 8 am this morning.  Order #1 contact 3 Reps thought to be possible roadblocks.  I enlisted the help of Mr. Duchossois who is the chairman of the board at Arlington Park.  Jan Ely had other people of influence as well contacting these 3 and by
the end of the day 2 had returned my calls with votes of support for SB 1921.  Please add to your list of supporters Rep Tom Cross who is the house minority leader(Republican) and Rep. Terry Parke (R).  We also can add to the list of supporters Rep. Patricia Lindner (R).  The
big addition to our list of supporters is the following executive committee member;  Daniel J Burke. This makes 4 on the executive committee that we need not lobby any further.

Order #2  Obtain hard copies of all letters of support from Illinois horse industry leaders, rescues, racing, breeders, stables etc.  so please, all you Illinoisans out there please, fax to me your letters of support on your letterheads for evidence to be brought forth next week in Springfield.  Please, email me privately for my fax # must be careful as this is my home # as well.

Made great strides with the larger Illinois TB breeders; they are writing letters and faxing to me to take with, next week.

Order # 3 Start working on Senators.  They need to know we expect their support.

Order # 4 Don't waste time with Dekalb or Dekalb newspaper, they are of no importance to what we are doing.  I found this tough to swallow, but swallow I did.  I did however slip and call Mr. Rickert and ask him to at least correct the mistaken info on the bill # etc.  Might as
well have been talking to the fruit in my fruit bowl!!

Well I guess that is the update for now.  Oh "the plan"!!  The plan is that we will meet in Springfield Monday for a powwow and to organize for Tuesday, we will stay the night and be ready for battle come our big day!!  Every day we are seeing the results of the tremendous team effort that everyone has put into this campaign to rid our horses of these despicable murderers!!  We have 8 more days.  Please, I know that you are all weary as I am too, but to once again quote the great writer that we all know and love, " Until the last horse is safe, we will not rest."

God Bless and keep you all.
