Anyone contacting the Governor's office either by phone or email, please be sure to include the following facts: 1. Cavel International burned to the ground in March of 2002. 2. Cavel International applied for the horse slaughter license on 4/14/03. When no facility existed. 3. the IL Dept. of Agriculture granted the license on 4/22/03. They did not inspect the facility as is required. 4. Cavel falsified information on the application, by lying about the state of their facility. 5. The Ag. Dept. has admitted their error, and has stated that they would look into revoking the license. 6. The Ag dept has had several weeks to correct this error, and have failed to do so. Thanks !!
