Well, a great time was had by all last night at the fundraiser. We had a
great turnout and a couple of very special guests. Greg Swan who is State
Rep Bob Molaro's right hand man stopped by to show his support.
We also had a visit from the very talented Equine artist Thomas Allen Pauly.
Thomas donated 2 prints to our cause. We presented them as 2nd and 3rd
prizes in the raffle. His work is outstanding and you can view it at: www.horseartist.com
We also gave as a prize a ceramic Christmas scene and bridle that were donated
by Julie, a member of our group.
It is hard to say just how many people were in attendance, as folks were coming
and going throughout the evening. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say
it was over 150 +
We had a professional photographer taking pics for most of the evening, so pics
will be available soon!!
A total of 254 tickets were sold for the raffle, and the grand prize was won by
Steve Morgan. Steve is a steward at both Arlington and Hawthorne race tracks.
Total $$'s for tickets sold is $2,540. We have not yet tallied up the
donations received by the bookkeeper at Hawthorne.
All in all it was a wonderful time and very successful event. Thanks to
everyone involved for helping to make this possible. And special thanks to
all of those who have donated their time and finances for this event.
