I looked into your question about whether a letter from the school might support horse slaughter. To my knowledge, our school has not produced such a letter.

Our faculty sometimes offer personal opinions based on their expertise, but they would only speak for themselves. As an educational institution, we provide relevant scientific information to decisionmakers, but we are prevented from supporting specific legislation--in California or in any other state.
